Multiple Currencies for Incoming Payments

Dino Triantafillou- Italian Journeys
In order to protect us from r.o.e. fluctuations, we quote in euro and then, closer to the travelling time, we convert the price in $. In the meantime though we receive deposits in $ from our clients, and need to record them. Once the total price is in $ we can load the deposits (and balances) correctly. We had this possibility in .net and this is yet another of the useful functions that has disappeared from the system. calculated from there.
For example, an itinerary is priced at 10,000 EUR: We always collect a 1,000 USD deposit from travelers to confirm the trip. Then, 8 weeks before travel, we check the exchange rate, convert the 1000 USD deposit to EUR and deduct that from 10,000 EUR. This gives us the balance total which we convert to USD and collect from the traveler. It would be helpful to see the USD and EUR amount for each payment.
