Include optional items in an itinerary preview whilst keeping them out of the itinerary pricing

When sending quotes to prospects we often need to consider budgets. We like to price the itinerary with everything the traveller asks for but also includes some Optional items as ideas for upselling without the total price increasing.
I would like to have the option to offer some products as optional that are included in the preview (with a label to clearly mark them as optional) but they arent included in the total cost.
When we create itineraries. we work together with the traveler. We like to give them options for certain activities, for different loops... where we invite the travelers to make a choice, or where we just want to show the travelers certain options on a rest day. We want to show different options without it influencing the price of the itinerary
Would like to show the client all the excursion options they have for the base itinerary they agreed on and the price for each of these optional excursions so the customers can decide which excursions they want to add on to their based priced itinerary depending on their total budget.
This is similar to offering an alternative room (ie alternative to the Basic room is the Deluxe room which will cost $200 extra) but alternative functionality requires a different solution to this feature request

Suggestion : I would love to see this feature : when we change the status to "Optional", then automaticaly, the price is changed to "Zero" in the pricing Tab.

When working with different budgets the User would like to have the option to offer alternative products/difference choices that are not included in the total cost (alternate activities as well as upgrade options)

Alternative option is usually an upgrade from A to B
Optional product is something not included in Total price but promoted with cost separated out so they know they can buy it/include it.
This is rather crucial for us since we offer hotel options for every itinerary. I see it is planned but until that time is there a suggestion for getting around this? Previously we could just zero out the number of rooms while maintaining the price of the room, but it is not possible to set this to zero.

Add additional experiences at an additional cost

would it be possible to add additional experiences to a proposal that you can click to include or exclude depending on the client's decision. So for example with regards to the Tower of London the price includes standard entry tickets however, if they would like the exclusive access tour then it would be at an additional cost of £xxx If they decide to go with the exclusive access I can then include it in the cost by clicking on that section. However, if they decide to go with standard tickets I can unclick the exclusive access section so that it isn't included in the total cost. We could also use this example with private transportation as well etc...
Otherwise I have to duplicate the itinerary with all the different options.

The system should allow a section to include prices for optional activities and alternative hotels, within the same itinerary.

any follow up ? Jason Bragg
"without it influencing the price of the itinerary" = change automatically the price to "0" and booking status "Optional"

It is crucial to display optional services in the itinerary, clearly marked as such, so clients can easily differentiate them.
