Booking Request Email Format
under review
Booking request emails are overly repetitive and difficult to manage. A single booking with 2 adults and 2 children generated 10 entries in one email, repeating traveler and supplier names unnecessarily. This format is confusing for suppliers, who have expressed their inability to work with it.
Ideas include
- Remove Booking 3 of 9 heading as it is confusing
- Dont repeat the Supplier name, Itin ID, Itinerary name
- Options/Addons should be grouped under Product fields if multiple options are booked rather than repeating

Sina Zimmermann Hi Sina, I only asked because I saw this comment below so I thought it may have already been in the pipeline. Thank you!

Sina Zimmermann is there ETA on this please? We are new and this has a significant impact on how we will need to load our rates. Because I see if you add 3 different options to one product, it generates 3 booking requests and looks very confusing.

Is there a way to add names specifically to each option type in the same booking requests? Currently i'm using "Note to supplier". If it was already in the options, I would not have to write any other notes.

Yes this really needs a fix, urgently, as suppliers sometimes book more services than what we require and charge us cancellation fees!

Merged in a post:
Customisation of the formatting of 'booking request' emails

Would like booking request/availability request/reconfirmation requests to have more customisation, not to customise the content of the email but the way the information is actually formatted and presented to the supplier. We require tours to be sent and listed as 'Full day walking tour' - '2 adults, 1 child’ instead of all adult and child segments presented separately. Some of our suppliers refuse to accept this formatting.

It would also be very helpful to be able to create a custom subject line so that we don't have to change the default with every single booking request we send out. This could be done by having customize fields that could be inserted into the booking email setup under the organization. Similar to the one currently used in the customization area for mapping traveler information.

Completely agree. It's the 5th time this week that supplier request clarification because they don't understand anything. See this simple email for a family of 3, where the number of travellers is repeated, with booking ONE and booking TWO. Even oursleves, we have a hard time getting it.
